Smart appliances & electrical OEM & ODM in China — buyer's guide
How distributors, importers and retail brands should evaluate Chinese smart-appliance and electrical suppliers: what to specify across small appliances, smart home devices, lighting, power & charging and mini EVs, which certifications each market requires, and how the OEM/ODM process works.
Why source smart appliances & electrical from China
China is the world's densest production base for consumer electrical goods — from small kitchen appliances and smart-home devices to LED lighting, portable power and low-speed EVs. That density is what lets a buyer move from a sample to a container in weeks rather than quarters, and mix models within a single order. The trade-off to manage is compliance: every destination market has its own certification and documentation rules, and the supplier's job is to hand you a shipment that clears customs without surprises. KRANTY currently has 55 electrical and electronic products in production across four lines — consumer electronics, lighting, power & charging and mini EVs.
What to specify before you order
- Small appliances & air fryers. Capacity and rated power, voltage band (100–127V or 220–240V), thermostat range and housing. Logo, colour and retail packaging are customisable per model.
- Smart home & personal electronics. Connectivity (WiFi app, low-power wireless), battery life and the companion app. Private-label covers logo and packaging; some devices support app branding.
- Lighting. LED type, output in lumens, rechargeable battery capacity and housing material. Work, head, flood, solar and bike lights share the same customisation options.
- Power & charging. Capacity (mAh or Wh), rated output in watts, number of ports, GaN vs standard, and whether UPS and capacity expansion are required for power stations.
- Mini EVs. Seat count, range and battery size, motor rating and speed class, and the type-approval path for your market.
- OEM and ODM scope. Logo, colourway, packaging artwork, firmware and app naming. Confirm in writing that tooling you pay for remains your property.
Certifications and import documents by market
Across the electrical range we handle CE, FCC and RoHS; for the United Kingdom it is UKCA; for the United States, FCC applies where the product radiates, and local rules vary by state. The type-approved mini EVs carry EEC approval (L7e-CP). Every lithium-battery product — power stations, power banks and EV packs — ships with the UN38.3 test summary and MSDS, plus the air, sea and land transport reports. Per shipment we also provide the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and the declaration of conformity and test reports in the importer's name where the market requires it.
How a first order works
Send the target models, quantities and destination market through the inquiry form; we reply within one business day with the wholesale price list and MOQ sheet, and a single sample unit can be ordered first to evaluate a model. Wholesale production normally runs 20 to 35 days from deposit and artwork confirmation, plus sea transit.

Questions buyers ask about smart appliances & electrical
What certifications do your smart appliances and electrical products carry?
The electrical range is built to CE, FCC and RoHS; UKCA applies in the UK and FCC where the product radiates. The type-approved mini EVs carry EEC approval (L7e-CP). Every lithium-battery product ships with the UN38.3 test summary and MSDS plus transport reports, and we issue the declaration of conformity and test reports in the importer's name where the market requires it.
Can you private label our brand on these products?
Private label covers logo, colourway, packaging artwork, firmware strings and the companion app name; tooling you pay for remains your property, documented in the contract. Per-model customisation options are listed on each product page.
What is the MOQ and how long is production?
MOQ is on request for every model — a single sample unit can be ordered first to evaluate a build. Wholesale production normally runs 20 to 35 days from deposit and artwork confirmation, plus sea transit.
Do you document the lithium batteries for transport?
Yes. Power stations, power banks and EV packs all ship with the UN38.3 test summary and MSDS for each cell and pack, with the air, sea and land transport reports, alongside the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading or air waybill.
Are the mini EVs type-approved for Europe?
The type-approved mini EVs carry EEC L7e-CP approval; tell us the destination market and we will outline the full compliance and documentation path for registration.
How do I shortlist models before requesting a quote?
Use the model line-up to compare every product side by side by capacity, output, range or seats, then open a model page or send the target models and market through the inquiry form.
